Brett Jones has dedicated his life to keeping us safe—serving as a Navy SEAL, a CIA GRS agent, and a police officer. Now, he's ready to bring that same dedication and experience to the role of sheriff.
A Record of Service
Brett Jones knows what it means to serve. His SEAL team deployed just two weeks after 9/11. Later, as a CIA GRS agent, Brett successfully completed countless missions, protecting American interests in some of the most hostile places on the planet. During his 13 years in the CIA, he helped to create one of the most successful protective programs in the world – his team never lost an asset.
The Right Experience for the Job
Brett Jones has extensive public safety experience. As the founder of successful large private security companies, Brett knows how to manage a team and use resources effectively. Brett helps small departments out by serving as officer for two different jurisdictions in Madison County, giving him first hand experience with the Sheriff’s Department. He understands the bottlenecks that keep our law enforcement officers from doing their jobs. Brett Jones stands ready to protect this community from day 1.
A Leader in our Community
Brett Jones is proud to call Madison County his home. He lives here, started businesses here, and serves as a police officer here. He also volunteers at events that raise essential funds for the Owens Cross Roads Police Reserve Program—supporting the training and certification of future Alabama police officers. Brett is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County and a former member of the Rotary Club, where he built lasting relationships and remained committed to community service. He understands this community uniquely well, and he knows how important it is to have a Sheriff who is eager to serve and ready to protect.
